Food for Thought

An old colleague/friend writes:
I am observing not defending or endorsing here, but part of the reason Bloomberg's getting traction (besides his gazillions of dollars of course) is that he is running aggressive ads against the person the Democratic nominee will be running against in November. There are a lot of people who have been waiting for someone to do that and have gotten impatient with the endless rounds of intramural sniping over whose healthcare plan is best or who's a neoliberal or whatever.

Other Democratic candidates looking to break through would do well to take note. I have seen several Bernie ads in just the last few days aimed directly at Trump, which is probably a Bloomberg effect.
Sounds like Mayor Pete got the memo, too.

Mayor Bloomberg Statement on Boston Explosions

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg issued the following statement:
“As law enforcement authorities investigate today’s explosions in Boston, I ask all New Yorkers to keep the victims and their families in your thoughts and prayers. I have spoken with Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, and the NYPD has stepped up security at strategic locations and critical infrastructure, including our subways. Some of the security steps we are taking may be noticeable, including deployment of Critical Response Vehicles and additional police personnel, and others will not be. We have 1,000 members of the NYPD assigned to counter-terrorism duties, and they – along with the entire NYPD and the investments we have made in counter-terrorism infrastructure – are being fully mobilized to protect our city.”

The Way He Were

I've been saying Mayor Michael Bloomberg is a big queen for years, but NOW do you believe me?
