Inmate Believes Hernandez Left Him a Note, Gifted Him $47,000 Watch

I'm still not 100% convinced of the "jailhouse lover" angle. But I do find it curious that Aaron Hernandez's lawyer swears up and down that one of the suicide notes wasn't for "close friend" Kyle Kennedy when everything suggests it was.

Attorney Larry Army Jr. told reporters that he believes Aaron Hernandez left a suicide note for his client and intended to leave the man a substantial gift. Army said Monday that his client, inmate Kyle Kennedy, believes he was the intended recipient of one of Hernandez's three suicide notes. However, Army has declined to describe the relationship between Kennedy and Hernandez.

"My client does firmly believe that one of the letters was written to him," Army said. "My client believes that, based on the closeness of the relationship that he and Aaron Hernandez had, there would be nobody else that he would have written to."

Army also asserted that Hernandez intended to leave a $47,000 watch to his client. The attorney displayed a photo of Hernandez in which Army said the watch was visible.

"Aaron Hernandez has told my client he was giving him this watch," Army said.

David Wedge, a spokesman for Kennedy's attorney, said Wednesday the two inmates at the maximum security the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Massachusetts, had asked to be cellmates last September. He said the request initially was approved, but then denied.

Army told reporters that Hernandez and Kennedy were friends and that Hernandez had written to Kennedy's family, but said that additional information about the relationship between the two inmates will come directly from Kennedy at a later date.

Hernandez's attorney has vehemently denied that any of the letters were intended for Kennedy.

"I am reaffirming, unequivocally, no such letter to Mr. Kennedy, or any other individual, in our out of prison, exists," Jose Baez wrote in a statement. Baez also suggested that "malicious" rumors about the relationship are being "used to tarnish someone who is dead."

Is This the Armed Robber Who Stole Aaron Hernandez's Heart in Prison?

Not trying to glamorize sick f**ks who destroy people's lives. But it's hard not to be intrigued by the story of Aaron Hernandez, who rose to be a multimillionaire, Super Bowl-winning football player only to throw it all away under circumstances that increasingly seem to be related to his self-hatred over his sexuality.

The Daily Mail reports that the mystery prisoner who Hernandez wrote to before his shocking suicide is a 22-year-old man jailed for a knife-point robbery at a gas station. Kyle Kennedy was the last person to see the former New England Patriot alive and is now on suicide watch inside the maximum security Souza-Baranowski Corrections Center, sources say. He is the man to whom Hernandez gave a $50,000 watch and other property shortly before he took his life. Hernandez, 27, who was found dead hanging from a bed sheet in his cell early on Wednesday morning last week, left three suicide notes. One was addressed to his fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez, the second to their 4-year-old daughter, Avielle, and the third to a prisoner, who high level prison sources described as his prison lover.

Hernandez had been serving a life sentence without possibility of parole for the murder of his close friend Odin Lloyd, but just five days earlier had been acquitted of a separate double murder. One theory for Lloyd’s murder is that he knew about Hernandez’s bisexuality and might tell Shenea Jenkins — Hernandez’s fiancée’s sister — who Lloyd was dating. According to Newsweek, Hernandez also had a long-term gay lover before he was imprisoned who was due to give evidence at his murder trial. But shortly before the case he transferred a large sum of money into the man’s bank account.

Eventually the suicide notes will become available under state open-records laws. Until then, the speculation continues to build.

In an online profile on the website Write A Prisoner, Kennedy described his sexual orientation as "straight."

"Hello, my name is Kyle,’ he wrote on the site in May last year. "I signed up on this website so I can correspond and possibly build friendships with people from around the world. I stand at 5’ 10” and I weigh 175 pounds, I have brown hair and brown eyes. I am also heavily tattooed. I work out, read books and write to help me pass the time while incarcerated," he added. "My hobbies on the street include racing motocross, building and customizing cars and motorcycles and doing anything that includes the outdoors. I am currently working to attain my Barbering license." He ended his profile with the words: "If you want to get to know me, I’m just a stamp away! Thank you, Kyle."

Ex-NFL Star Aaron Hernandez Reportedly Left Suicide Note for His Gay Prison Lover -- UPDATE

The Daily Mail is hardly the most reputable news source, so take reports that Aaron Hernandez left a suicide note for his male prison lover with a grain of salt. But one detail does ring true, as it's not hard to imagine the rumored jailhouse bitch sex buddy being placed on suicide watch if he had suddenly had THIS snatched away from him.

The "Powertool" reboot you've always dreamed of?

UPDATE:

UPDATE: This story seems to be picking up steam and some validity. Newsweek is now reporting that Aaron Hernandez's bisexuality was probed as a murder motive, and also claims the note to a jailhouse "friend" is real. The magazine also says Hernandez set up bank accounts for his fiance, his daughter and for a longtime male lover (a high-school friend), who it says was interviewed extensively by authorities after Odin Lloyd's murder. (Hernandez was serving life without the possibility of parole for killing Lloyd.) Still hard to know what's true, but sadly it wouldn't be the first time someone became a monster because he was tortured by his sexuality.

Aaron Hernandez Found Hanged in Prison

Aaron Hernandez, the former New England Patriots tight end who was serving a life sentence for a 2015 murder conviction, was found dead in his prison cell early Wednesday morning. Prison officials say he hanged himself with a bed sheet, but his former agent isn't so convinced. Sad ending for a man who seemed to have it all yet decided to ruin the lives of countless people.

Killer Smile

Aaron Hernandez sends alleged victim's mom from courtroom in tears as judge weighs gag order

The former Patriots star charged in Odin Lloyd’s murder was all smiles as he appeared in court Monday with his fiancée, mother and several of his sports fans supporting him from behind. A judge is now mulling defense attorneys' request for a gag order over allegations that leaks by the state could jeopardize his right to a fair trial.

If the family of Aaron Hernandez's alleged murder victim thought he would show some remorse in court this week, they were sorely mistaken. Read HERE.
