I ended up watching the "People Magazine Investigates" episode about the 2001 murder of Bonnie Lee Bakley, which husband-because-he-knocked-her-up Robert Blake totally did but was acquitted because his 10-times-married wife was put on trial for being a con woman. Although I do recall Bakley's obsession with fame, however tenuous -- she was simultaneously f**king Baretta(!) and Christian Brando, whom she seduced by sending nude photographs while he was in jail for murdering his sister's boyfriend(!!) -- I don't think I ever knew that she'd recorded a single ... a single so delightfully awful it just had to be my SOTD!
Released under the name Leebonny -- on Leebonny Records (go figure) -- it was backed with "Let's Not Dream," which is probably what someone told her when she asked if they thought she had a hit on her hands.
