This one's in celebration of the news that Scritti Politti announced that they will do a special U.K. tour next year to play “Cupid + Psyche ’85” in its entirety. (Swoon!) I've posted two of the other singles off the group's seminal 1985 album -- "Wood Beez (Pray Like Aretha Franklin" and "Perfect Way" -- and today's selection is equally infectious. Tour details HERE. Ironically, Greer Garside's "Snow in Sun" was just on my Spotify as it's the most wonderful time of the year, namely when I get to play Tracey Thorn's holiday album over and over again.
The B-side of "The Word Girl" is called "Flesh and Blood,"an alternative version of the song with Ranking Ann on vocals.
