RIP, RBG
While it would have been nice to take a few days to remember the life and legacy of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell felt the need to announce that a vote would go forward on whomever Donny picks to replace the liberal titan, the same Mitch McConnell who refused to allow a vote for Merrick Garland, President Obama's pick to replace Justice Antonin Scalia -- who died nine months before the 2016 election. As such, I will say there is cause for hope. Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, Charles Grassley and Mitt Romney (the only GOP senator to vote to impeach) have reportedly said that they would not vote to seat a new justice with just 45 days until Election Day. Normally I would say this means case closed. But with the depravity McConnell has displayed over the years, I'd bet my life he has another trick up his sleeve -- and he does.
