Weekend Tennis Diary

Both women's and now men's tennis are officially back in action, with the "bubble" up and running at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, Queens. Here are the players who have caught my eye so far:

Grigor Dimitrov was in winning form, beating Ugo Humbert. Here's hoping any lingering side effects from his Covid-19 battle are fully behind him.

Borna Coric came up short against David Goffin, for the fifth time in a row. Something tells me the coronavirus had nothing to do with it.

Dominic Thiem almost looks too ripped on the practice court. Let's see how he fares against Filip Krajinovic today.

Stefanos, who did an adorable Q&A on Instagram, looked sharp in his win over Kevin Anderson

Tommy Paul mask couldn't shield him from a disappointing first-round loss to Ricardas Berankis of Lithuania

Fellow Americans Reilly Opelka and Taylor Fritz both advanced

Matteo's sponsors are definitely getting their money's worth. He plays Finish qualifier Emil Ruusuvuori today

In the battle of the dreamboats: Cristian Garene vs. Aljaz Bedene

The Slovenian came out on top

Andreas Mies and Kevin Krawietz are ready for action

Borna gives back

Johnny Millman's still got the swagger -- and outlasted Adrian Mannarino in the first round

Diego's brother cheers him on, Argentina-style

Marton Fuck-a-lot was looking fit on and off the court (he won his first-round match over Mackenzie McDonald in "Cincinnati")

The Harrison brothers are in New York to play doubles

Christian looks like he could fit a lot in that mouth

Stan Wawrinka won the Prague Challenger run by Karolina Pliskova's randy husband

I love that even professional athletes use their exercise as an excuse to "cheat" on their diets!

Lloyd Glasspool is keeping busy in the U.K.

French toast: Lucas Pouille and Quentin Halys both play it safe
