Token of My Mental Depreciation


Chris Stein just came across this relic. I remember moving to New York from Washington, where Metro farecards were forever the norm, and everyone in NYC saying they just wouldn't work here. Some 20 years later and we still use them, although some stations have been outfitted with readers for smartphones. Now talk about something that'll never work!
