A family friend in Macomb County, Mich. — birthplace of the Reagan Democrat(!) and Ground Zero for the handful of votes that narrowly flipped the state in 2016 — (bravely) called for Trump’s impeachment today, spurring the usual pathetic “defenses” from her many friends, starting the Kiwanis Club equivalent of a riot. Rather than bothering to correct the endless misinformation in the thread or singling out any policy, tweet or criminal act or getting into the weeds about the stock market or economy, I wrote the following:

To each his own, that’s what makes this country great. But if someone cannot see why this person is fundamentally unfit for office, I think it says more about them than it does about Trump.
