I was watching Bill Maher at the gym Fri before Pride parade and he interrupted his show to announce this. Cuomo fought hard and was so strategic about picking off the votes. He then went and signed it immediately and brought his daughter to see this moment. I will always remember his fighting publicly for this.
@Jim: Thanks for sharing. I'm well aware of Cuomo's shortcomings. But I'm not a fan of running people who have been reliable Democrats out of Dodge. I feel like we need to push Dems who aren't progressive enough to be more so. And then run NEW ones in districts/positions where there are Republicans. That's the way to INCREASE our power.
