In this era of social justice and #MeToo, we have to be as vigilant as possible in calling out offenders. Earlier this week, it was revealed that Jon Peters, the producer of the upcoming film A Star is Born, spent years sexually harassing women. Warner Brothers tried to minimize his involvement, but – according to many sources – they are lying through their teeth to do PR damage.

Even if Jon Peters wasn’t involved on the film in a completely hands-on way, Andrew Dice Clay was. He plays a major role in the film as Lady Gaga’s character’s dad. If you are old enough to remember, Andrew Dice Clay was notorious for using his comedy shows to bash women, the LGBT community, immigrants, African-Americans, and everyone else. It is abhorrent that he is being awarded with a role in a major film that already is problematic. We cannot be silent about this just because A Star is Born is being distributed by a major studio and people want it to do well.
