"For the first time, I can see a future for myself as Chelsea," she said in a statement last week ahead of her release. "I can imagine surviving and living as the person who I am and can finally be in the outside world."
As I've written before, I don't have a strong opinion as to whether Chelsea Manning is a hero or a traitor. (I doubt she would have done what she did if she'd known Julian Assange was a woman-hater.) But now that President Obama has given her a second chance in life, here's hoping she makes the most of it. Read HERE.
