Weekend Tennis Roundup

Roger Federer pulled off unlikely back-to-back titles in Indian Wells and Miami this weekend, crushing Rafael Nadal yet again.

But I think everyone who watched Rafa defeat nemesis (and about-to-be daddy) Fabio Fognini in the semifinals was the real winner.

Meanwhile, Jo Konta became the first "British" woman in more than 30 years to win a big title when she outplayed Caroline Wozniacki to win the women's title. Look for her to follow this up by losing in the first round of the next event she plays like recent Indian Wells champ Elena Vesnina did. (I hope she celebrated all night long with either -- or both -- of the guys in this photo!)

Konta didn't lose in the first round in Charleston. She just withdrew from the tournament altogether!

kenneth, watching fed play has been unbelievable the past two tournaments, it's almost been like traveling back 10 years into the past - i can barely remember seeing him on top of his game as he is right now!
