My Brother Bill

Bill feeds the ducks in Detroit's Palmer Park

Very sad to report that my brother Bill's clinical trial did not merit the results we were hoping for. His update to the family was remarkably upbeat given that he's recently been in great pain (neck) since right after Christmas because of what is likely a new lesion, making it nearly impossible to lie comfortably. (He described having a two-hour MRI as nothing short of "torture.") He and his wife, Jacqueline, are examining other options at Georgetown, but to say we're heartbroken is to understate things enormously. :-(

UPDATE: My brother said his neck is feeling slightly better today, and now his MRI results came in and show no impingement of the spinal cord, which counts as a huge victory! xo

Oh, Kenneth, I'm so sorry to hear this. Prayers that some other yet-unforeseen option finds its way to Bill.

Ken,

Thanks for the update.

I wish nothing but the best for Bill. May you and the family look under every rock.

No matter what happens-good or bad-I comforted to know that Bill as a great support system.

That makes all the difference.

Keep up updated.
