Brian Faber, Owner of Zia Records, Is Dead at 45

Very sad to hear about the passing of Zia Records owner Brian Faber, who suffered a brain hemorrhage and stroke over the weekend. If it makes me a loser to admit my youth revolved around the Mill Avenue store (that later moved to University Drive), Roads to Moscow and Tower Records, so be it. Music and tennis were the things that connected me to other people at that oddball time in life, and running into Zia looking for the latest Bananarama, Marilyn or Mari Wilson 12-inch import was like our version of "The Amazing Race," never knowing what you'd come away with. Condolences to the entire Faber and Zia family.
