Nadal Withdraws, Further Opening Path to Djokovic's First French Open Title

Sucks that Rafael Nadal has had so many injuries. Definitely not how any of us wanted to see this go.

Wouldn't it be funny, in an ironic sort of way, if Murray won the French this year? Just like last year when it seemed to be Djokovic's for the taking.

The greatest era of men's tennis, top competitive wise, was bound to end after such an amazing 10 years. In the past 40 majors, Rafa leads with 13, Novak with 11 and Roger with 10 = 34, or 85%. The remaining 6 titles divvied up among 4 (Murray, Wawrinka, Del Porto, Cillic). That also means that none of the other 73 other players who made it in the Top 10 during that time won any.

The next era will be more diverse in slam wins; none of the upcoming talent seems to have the ability to so dominate as the Big 3 have dominated for so long.

Its time to shake tennis up; but it truly has been fun!
