The Met Goes 'Psycho'


Wow, so relieved to learn this Hitchcock phase I've been going through isn't playing tricks on my mind. Turns out I am seeing Norman Bates' house atop the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Curbed reports that for the 2016 season, the roof garden commission is British artist Cornelia Parker's "Transitional Object (PsychoBarn)," which is indeed a replica of the creepy home featured in Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 horror classic. Do you/have you watched Bates Motel? I love it, highly recommended if you haven't seen it.

Aw. You got my hopes up. I thought the Metropolitan Opera was underwriting the creation of an opera based on "Psycho".
