Song of the Day: 'Lumina' by Joan Osborne

Sign up for Sandra Bernhard's "Sandyland" HERE.

Heard Joan Osborne on "Sandyland" last week, promoting her residency (now going on) at the Cafe Carlyle, where she performs the songs of Bob Dylan. I mentioned to Damian that I never knew anything about her beyond "One of Us" -- I'm more Jett and Armatrading -- and it turned out he is a fan. Her mega-hit, he told me, is actually one of his least favorite songs from that much-loved debut album. Here's his favorite:

Yeah, that's a bad pic. But love Right Hand Man and Crazy Baby. And St. Theresa. Only know and/or like one song beyond that album, though her voice and style suggest she has more good music in her.
