The New Civil Rights Movement reports that Thomas Roberts and his co-host Cheryl Burke have dropped out of the Miss Universe pageant due to Donald Trump's racist remarks. They're among the latest in a slew of name-brands to sever ties with the Republican presidential candidate, but don't look for me to applaud him. He should have never been in bed with that homophobic-xenophobic-racist asshole to begin with -- and shamelessly accepted the job only after Andy Cohen stepped down because of similar misgivings years ago. Way to jump on a bandwagon only when you're 100 percent sure it's safe.
I'm rather surprised he found his backbone on this. He never has before. I suspect NBC forced his hand. He always reminds me of Hemingway's steer in The Sun Also Rises, running around trying to make peace at any cost between warring bulls.

Oh my, so much drama around this show...
They're getting lots of publicity, aren't they?
Not that the show actually needs it. :D
Not to defend him, because I can't stand him, but Roberts and Cheryl Burke actually pulled out of hosting back on June 30, fairly early in the Donald Trump backlash. Thanks.
what took her so long.
