Going for 'Bloodline'

Haven't watched an hourlong drama of this nature in ages -- if ever -- but "Bloodline" was worth the effort. Like most thrillers, it has its over-the-top moments. And there are lots of breadcrumbs being left on the trail when getting to the point would be so easy. And there was a lot of deliberate misleading. (I'm new to this, so it was a challenge at times.) But with an impeccable cast that includes Kyle Chandler (rocking a sexy ex-jock paunch), Linda Cardellini (Lindsay from "Freaks and Geeks"!), the always-great Chloe Sevigny, Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz (as the hot-headed brother) and the legendary Sissy Spacek, I really became invested in the Rayburn family and wanted to see where this story of family secrets and betrayals would take me.

Will a second season "work"? I don't really think it's necessary, but I'll still probably tune in to find out.

Great show. It was so addictive. The only problem I had is I couldn't figure out what the "bad thing" was, or more to the point, why it was done. With all the time jumping I kept trying to put the pieces back in order but those breadcrumbs led every which way. a little confusing, but worth it. Season two? I can't see it, unless it would have taken a Fargo/True Detective path with a whole new story. But with the very ending it's clear they're not going in that direction.)

I really loved Kyle ion the early years. 'Tour of Duty', was good, but "Early Edition' was my favorite.
