No Indictment in Eric Garner Chokehold Case for N.Y.P.D. Officer
This is the scene outside my office right now, just a stone's throw away from where the lighting of the big Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center is supposed to happen in a bit. How a police officer can use an illegal chokehold on someone -- which was ruled a homicide by the coroner -- and not get indicted is beyond me, but even having footage of the entire event doesn't seem to be enough. I applaud the protesters -- this wanton use of excessive force must stop.
