Queen of Tarts

WSJ: Amid Kale and Quinoa, Pop-Tarts Keep Hanging On

Kellogg's Breakfast Pastry Has Witnessed a Growth in Sales for 32 Straight Years

The Wall Street Journal reports that sales of soda, cereal and frozen food are down, yet sales of Pop-Tarts have gone up each year for the past 32. The most surprising thing about this story, however, is that I had nothing to do with its creation. People frequently ask me what my favorite flavor is. First let me say that the non-frosted variety are total bullshit and I don't know why they even exist. (Fitting that they introduced the frosted variety the year I was born!) My favorite flavor is Chocolate Vanilla Creme, but of course they got discontinued. So of the remaining choices, Chocolate Fudge and Frosted Cherry are my faves. What's yours?

While I love the chocolate ones, they are more of a "dessert" item. If I ever eat PopTarts again for b'fast, I try to stick w the strawberry or blueberry....for the antioxidants, of course.

Frosted strawberry and I agree - the non frosted ones are garbagio. BTW what's up with those freaky toaster struedel commercials? They are frightening!
