I was only 3 when Lynn Anderson's first sang, "I beg your pardon. I never promised you a rose garden." But it was such an iconic song that it dominated the radio airwaves for the decade to come, and remains one of my favorite songs of my early childhood. Belinda Carlisle's warbly voice is perfect for a cover, and everything's better with a little Jools!
