I get that museums rely on gift shops for income. But the one in the 9/11 museum sure seems a bit crass, no? Read HERE.

I thought the gift shops at the 9/11 Memorial (before the museum opened) was bordering on bad. The t-shirt of the survivor tree was fine. The 9/11 logo on a shirt was even ok (the material was NOT!).
I'm ok w books and videos, but then it started to deteriorate. I felt the need to purchase something, but couldn't do it.
I have the opposite view. Didn't we payout these survivors enough of our tax dollars? Its just a store. Chill out. We are a capitalist society. The world trade center wasn't rebuilt for free. People have a right to make money and sell things. I mean these are the same people who made a fuss over a mosque (anti-Muslim prejudice).
