Every Blondie fan knows that their first big European hit was a transgender cover of Randy and the Rainbows' "Denise." But did you know the band -- which was a one-hit wonder who never even put out a full-length album until decades later -- later recorded a reworked version of the song called "Debbie," as thanks to Blondie for reviving their hit? I didn't until it was posted on the DHBIS Facebook page HERE. Have a listen -- it actually doesn't even sound all that much like the original to me, but I trust John Labrow knows what he's talking about!
