Pal for Life

I've adored Pal Shazar since I first heard her as lead singer of the brainy New Wave duo Slow Children back in '82. Today I am proud to call her a real-life pal -- and to share with you news that her wonderful T-shirt designs are available once again:

A Pal Shirt -- Bio
Pal's love of showing her art began in her native Los Angeles at age 4 when she presented an original crayon drawing to her parents. She received a standing ovation. By age 20 she was taking drawing very seriously. Several of her portraits (Patti Smith, Tom Verlaine...) were published in music fanzines. In 1980 she had become the singer/songwriter for the new wave band 'Slow Children;' throughout her career as a recording artist (8 solo cd's to date) her art continued to be of interest. Her paintings have graced several album covers (Jules Shear, The Waterboys). For the past 20 years Pal has lived in Woodstock, New York. Her current medium is watercolor and oil. In 2000 Pal started A PAL SHIRT. Jennifer Aniston, Elizabeth Shue and Jenna Elfman were all seen wearing Pal Shirts. After returning to music full time, Pal is once again designing shirts.
