You may have heard the news that porn performer Bobby Williams died in a car crash early Sunday morning in Massachusetts. Now a reader points me to the heartfelt obituary for Peter L. Rigali, a 31-year-old son, brother, twin, grandson and uncle that a family has lost. -- a sobering reminder that there's a real human being behind the perfectly sculpted body and enormous package.
Peter L. Rigali, 31, of Holyoke died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 3, 2013 in Holyoke. He was born in Holyoke, son of Michael and Susan (Kennedy) Rigali and was educated in the Holyoke Schools. He was a manager for the Waterfront Tavern in Holyoke. Besides his parents, he leaves his twin sister Anna Rigali and her partner Jeff Richard of Holyoke, a brother, Christopher Rigali of New York, and his niece Lola Richard. Peter also leaves his maternal grandparents, Richard and Janet Kennedy of Holyoke, and his paternal grandmother, Elaine "Sis" Rigali, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. We all knew and loved Peter for his ability to put smiles on our faces and laughter in our hearts. Even as the sorrow sets in, the dear memories we have of Peter continue to bring us happiness. He will be deeply missed and forever loved. A Celebration of Peter's Life will be held Friday at 4:00 p.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Friday prior to the service from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to the Holyoke High Gay-Straight Alliance.
