The Skivvies Wow 'Em at 54 Below

With Nick Cearley

With Matt Doyle

WIth Nick Adams

Had an incredibly fun time last night at the Skivvies show at 54 Below, the sparkling theater performance space in the basement of the old Studio 54. If you love pop music and people with above-average IQs but haven't checked the Skivvies out yet, all I can say is you're probably prime Asperger material and need to make some friends and just go. Without giving too much away -- the element of surprise is what makes the show such a treat -- we were treated to surprise appearances by Miley Cyrus and Amy Winehouse, not to mention dreamboats Matt Doyle ( "Spring Awakening," "War Horse" and "The Book of Mormon") and Nick Adams ("Priscilla, Queen of the Desert," "La Cage aux Folles" and "The Guy Who Made Mario Lopez's Biceps Feel Inferior"). Nick Cearley and Lauren Molin -- the Skivvies proper -- never disappoint. (I brought a British colleague and his adorable wife with me and they were blown away.)
