I'm not one of those Woody Allen fans who thinks he's a genius again when he finally makes a halfway watchable movie again. ("Midnight in Paris," anyone?) But I must confess that my hopes are higher than usual for "Blue Jasmine," which seems to have a Bernie Madoff thing going on. Throw in Cate Blanchett, Alec Baldwin, Peter Sarsgaard, Louis C.K., Bobby Cannavale and Andrew Dice Clay(!) -- and an intriguing trailer -- and I'm ready to play Charlie Brown to Lucy's football and say this might finally be "the one"!

Let's hope that, unlike "I Love Rome, but I Only Half-finished the Script", Woody did his work before shooting.
I want to see this NOW.
Um, A STREETCAR NAMES DESIRE?
