Pining for Chris

For its special June/July double issue, OUT talks to "Star Trek" star Chris Pine about career, his Spock bromance, and spooning with Tom Everett Scott. Read HERE.

I've never seen him in anything -- he makes really bad movies, no? -- but I've always thought Chris was the hottest thing in town. I've wondered why he hasn't made it to the next level, but a friend of mine was telling me that Pine has really bad skin -- so bad, in fact, that it's completely noticeable on the big screen despite all of Hollywood's best make-up tricks. Whether this is holding him back or not I am not sure. But one thing is for certain: I wouldn't kick him out of bed for using Proactiv Solution.

I always think he looks like he has a badly carved marionette head.

I think you answered your own question. And even if he has bad skin, like Richard Burton did, if he were a great actor and/or in a great vehicle, it wouldn't matter, would it?

Interesting. If true, it's definitely a factor in his career track.

A neighbor of mine used to be a flight attendant. His gig was first class, NYC to LA and he met a lot of celebrities. One of them was Scott Wolf who was at that time starring on "Party of Five". He said Wolf was nice if not exactly outgoing but his skin was incredible, absolutely flawless and glowing like porcelain. In show biz it's an asset.
