For any other band, "Never Going Back Again" could have been a its claim to fame. But when you're a member of Fleetwood Mac, Lindsey Buckingham was lucky it was used as the b-side for a single off of "Rumours," which is still arguably the best album ever. (Could have been worse: Stevie Nicks' sublime "Silver Springs" didn't even make the LP!)

I still hold Rumours as my greatest album during my life. Not a song I didn't like and many I really related to. Love the band as well, significantly because of the additions of Lindsey and Stevie. Have seen them live in Sydney four maybe five times over my life, as well as a solo Stevie four times, twice of which were in the same week.
Thanks for the post.
It's a great song. It's a great album. But if Buckingham is to bring a true smile to my face, it is to see his guitar solo in "I'm So Afraid" in concert. The man is genius w that.
