It's Raining Men

I wouldn't exactly call it burying the lede, but The New York Times quietly mentioned Sam Champion's coming out today, when Jacob Bernstein noted the weatherman's upcoming wedding to photographer Rubem Robierb near the bottom of a story about the weekend wedding of MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts and Patrick Abner.
"We’re getting married New Year’s Eve in Miami,” Mr. Champion said in the spirit of the moment. Mr. Robierb corrected him: “We’ll do it here officially, and then have a party in Miami.”

Champion later told ABC News "We are thrilled and so excited and thank everyone for their good wishes.” Towleroad reports he tweeted this afternoon: "I've never been happier to share a bit of personal news!!"

GLAAD thought it newsworthy enough to release a statement from its new president, Herndon Graddick, who said: "Sam has been a good friend and longtime supporter of GLAAD, and I wish him and Rubem the absolute best."

Here's wishing all of the couples a long and happy life together. Now who will be next, Anderson Cooper, David Muir or Bill Hemmer?
