She Will Be 'Sincerely' Missed

The McGuire Sisters (from left: Christine, Phyllis and Dorothy) Was sad to read that Dorothy McGuire -- the middle of the famous harmonizing sisters best known for the irresistable 1950s hit "Sincerely -- died on Friday. She was 84 and succumbed to complications of Parkinson's disease. As much as I loved the sisters' No. 1 version from 1954, it was the closing scene of "Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean" when the Disciples of James Dean -- Cher, Sandy Dennis and Karen Black -- reunite one last time to sing the song that I remember most fondly. Now if only that film would come out on DVD ...

Skip to about the seven-minute mark to sincerely fall in love.
