SF's Future Archbishop Doesn't Approve of Drag Queens, but He Does Approve of Driving Under the Influence

With thanks to Jamie, who brings my attention to San Francisco's future Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, who was just arrested in San Diego's College District for DUI. Pope Benedict XVI recently handpicked  Cordileone to be the first Archbishop of San Francisco, where he will assume the post in October. One of  Cordileone's first orders after moving to the city from Oakland was to ban drag queens from performing (fundraising) at the Most Holy Redeemer Church in San Francisco's Castro District, which did not sit well with gay groups. (Isn't the pope a drag queen of sorts?) Cordileone was also a leader of Prop 8 in California. Can't say I'm surprised by any of this. Hating gays and being an alcoholic? Sounds like a "good" Catholic to me. Read HERE.
