Michael and I just got home from having delicious Chicken Filet sandwiches --
"crispy chicken, pickles and Schnipper sauce on a soft, pillowy bun" -- at Schnippers Quality Kitchen on 23rd and Madison. As reported last night, the New York City eatery's crispy chicken sandwich is a "pro-gay-marriage" alternative to the Chick-fil-a classic, with $1 from each one purchased going to Marriage Equality USA, a nonprofit that works to secure legally recognized civil marriages for all. The sandwich was deelish -- as you probably already guessed But as Schnippers owner Andrew Schnipper put it: "A truly good Chicken Filet sandwich would always be in favor of Marriage Equality." Just wondering when National Starbucks Appreciation Day is. It's a far bigger company with far more outlets that contributes to pro-equality organizations (along with Facebook, Google, Apple, Microsoft...).
This seemed like a good idea when I found out a friend who supported Hick-fil-A is a cup a day Starbucks junkie.
