Song of the Day: 'Tonite' by the Go-Go's

Forgot to post a song yesterday, but had a Go-Go's flashback on my way to work when I passed the Wellington hotel on 7th Avenue, where the gals stayed in 1981 when they were in New York recording "Beauty and the Beat." (My old office was across the street, and we'd always go to the deli by the Wellington for their lunch "splatter.") I've always put "Our Lips Are Sealed" at the top of my list from that LP -- and from all of their LPs, actually -- but No. 2 is a little tougher to call. If pressed, I'd probably put "Tonite" (co-written with Peter Case of "Hanging on the Telephone" fame) next, with "This Town" a very close third.  "Fading Fast," "How Much More" and "Lust to Love" aren't far off, and then how can you leave out "Automatic," the album's most dramatic moment?

Thoughts?

"Our Lips Are Sealed" first, of course, with "Tonite" second. 'Beauty and the Beat' is still a great listen!

"Our Lips Are Sealed" is my favorite song off that record (yes, I said "record"), but my other favorite was always "Can't Stop the World," followed by "Tonite" and "Automatic."
