'Reagan' Democrats

The Wisconsin recall debacle and news that Mitt Romney is raising more money than President Obama have me feeling very uncomfortable these days. But it's nice to see two people with ties to the Holy Father of the Republican Party -- James Duke Mason and Belinda Carlisle, whose hubby was a Reagan aide -- are pro-Obama, all the way. That's the Go-Go's singer, her son and a friend yesterday at the Obama LGBT Leadership Council Gala at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles. Ellen DeGeneres was the masteress of ceremonies, and Cher, Chaz Bono, Reese Witherspoon and Dustin Lance Black were also spotted -- and Darren Criss performed.

Meeting Barack Obama was one of the most incredible experiences of my life... not only was shaking his hand and thanking him for his work surreal and an honor, but just seeing the way he spoke to all of us in the crowd convinced me he MUST be re-elected President. He's an amazing man and an amazing leader. As I chanted there in the room: FOUR MORE YEARS!
