We know that Malin Akerman will be playing Debbie Harry and Alan Rickman will be playing Hilly Kristal. Now The Hollywood Reporter has more casting news from Randall Miller's indie "CBGB," including Foo Fighers drummer Taylor Hawkins as Iggy Pop, Sting's daughter and "Borgias" actress Mickey Sumner as Patti Smith, and Estelle Harris (George Costanza's mom!) as Kristal's mother, Bertha. Paper magazine did photo side-by-sides that are viewable HERE. Really getting excited for this one, even if the only gigs I caught at the legendary dump were of my friend Rich's band New Grenada in the 1990s.
