Dwight Garner's review of Alison Bechdel's mom memoir -- "Are You My Mother?" -- probably won't make you want to read it. (He's a fan of her dad memoir, "Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic," however.) But his write-up is filled with so many unflattering LOL moments, I can't help but recommend the review to you. (She and Kevin Sessums might want to commiserate. Norah Vincent needlessly excoriated his memoir in The Times back in 2007.) Read HERE.

I will read his review because you suggest it, but Are You My Mother? is so good and on par if not better than Fun Home. :)
