How to Make an American Quilt (More Accessible to the World)

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the creation of the AIDS Memorial Quilt. Next month, the Quilt will be featured at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington. In July, the Quilt will be laid out -- in its entirety -- on the Capital's Mall for the first time since 1996. (I was fortunate to see it in 1987 and 1993.)

As great as this is, wouldn't it be incredible to have the entire Quilt available for the world to browse online? Learn what you can do to make this dream a reality HERE!

I hope this project gets completed--I feel it's very important. I made a panel in 1994, for my beautiful, sweet, dear friend Gary M.
I'd like to see where it ended up in the Quilt, but I'm not sure I could handle seeing it in a public setting.

Thank you for sharing this information.
