I've only heard of a couple of these TV shows that were canceled this season, so I'm guessing it's good news that most of them are meeting their maker. (Thank god for the end of that heinous Chelsea Handler sitcom. Stick with your hilarious chat show, gurl!) But what I can't understand is why "Whitney" and "Up All Night" didn't also get the ax, yet "How to Make It in America" and "Hung" did. (I know "30 Rock," "Community" and "Parks and Recreation" have their loyalists, but their ratings are abysmal.) Granted, NBC and HBO are in very different positions, but come on! (For the record, Mark Wahlberg told GQ that "How to Make It" may turn up again on a different network.) The most incomprehensible thing of all, of course, is why "The Office" is still on -- for one season without Steve Carell, much less more than one ... and now they're doing it without Mindy Kaling! Speaking of which. What did you think of the preview of "The Mindy Project," her new show for Fox this fall? I think she's hilarious, but the trailer looks a bit too by-the-book chick flick to me. Let's hope Mindy puts her stamp on the show and makes it smarter than it looks.

Up All Night is really charming and frequently hilarious; Maya Rudolph's part alone is worth keeping it going. But it's genuinely good.
30 Rock & Parks and Rec are still wonderful, not stale at all. So sad that they'll be going, but glad the ratings-challenged 30 Rock was allowed to stick around for so long in the first place.
Whitney is an abortion. Community never engaged me at all. The Office, in spite of being really terrible compared to its previous heights of brilliance, if you consider it on its own terms, it does occasionally have great stuff in it. The problem has been that Andy is NOT a suitable lead character any more than Dwight would be, and James Spader and the female boss lady are ATROCIOUS in the show, just unappealing with zero of Steve Carell's love him/hate him characterization abilities. But yeah, it's a surprise that it is still going.
But looking at the list, how can we judge anything in a world where One Tree Hill is JUST NOW ENDING?
Wow - I haven't seen one show on that list.
GCB is cancelled??? GOOD CHRISTINA BITCHES? That show was hilarious! I didn't miss one episode. It was cleverly written and had a stellar cast. Whatever!
My first clue to turn off a show is a laugh track (Whitney). Parks and Rec is one of the funniest shows still on, in fact there was one episode from earlier in the season still on my DVR because it makes me laugh so hard. And GCB?? Awful acting and awful storylines... Goodbye Campy Bitches.
