Pounds & Ounces recently opened in the space that was once home to the gay Chelsea institution Viceroy, where I had brunch with my brother before a real-estate agent took me to see the apartment that would eventually become my longest-running home back in 1998. The interior has been given a more Art Deco look, and the joint seems to be courting hipsters thanks to the D.J. booth and sleek bar. I've eaten there twice and I'm not impressed.
