Sandra Bernhard Does 'Rosie'

Rosie O'Donnell's no-audience, one-on-on interviews continue to be the best talk on television. Yesterday she had Sandra Bernhard on -- someone she readily admitted "frightened" her over the years. It was riveting TV: Rosie got every detail about "The King of Comedy" (swoon!) and childhood life in Flint and Scottsdale, then Sandy essentially outed Whitney Houston on national television (well, OWN), then they danced around the M-word as Sandy talked about an awkward date with Sean Penn and about the time she fucked Jay Leno. ("It was 30 years ago -- and it was not cute.") My only complaint is that they didn't give Sandra the full hour. An artist with more than 30 years in the business and they had to cut it short for Rocco DiSpirito???? Jesus Christ! If you were wishing Ro had gone there, fear not. The tactless Wendy Williams was up to the task recently, as you can see here:

Sorry, just don't care for her any more. She seems so bitter. And not funny. I don't know why Andy Cohen keeps bringing her back to the "Club House" she's never funny on it.

@Matt and Marty: I don't disagree with either of you. But don't you think the topic preoccupies the media and public's fascination more than it does Sandra's? Not to be mean, but Sandy hasn't had all that much going on in the last 20 years, so when you were BFFs with the most famous woman in the world, people will probably ask you about it till the day you die, for better or worse.
