Meet the World's Longest-Serving Flight Attendant

At 83, Ron Akana may not be the oldest flight attendant around(!). But he is the longest-serving "steward," having clocked 20 million miles above the clouds the last 63 years. The New York Times reports the "local Hawaiian boy who wanted to see the mainland" has seen a lot of changes in that time, changes many of his colleagues would have never witnessed had mandatory retirement for stewardesses at 32 remained in effect.
