Janice of Troy

I'm not sure what's more depressing: that an elected official in a hugely populated county in the suburbs of Detroit would think it's OK to make blatantly hostile comments about gay people, or that it is likely a source of pride for many of her constituents. (It certainly is for her.) You can sign the petition to recall Mayor Janice Daniels of Troy, Michigan, HERE, although it's liable to only increase her support.

Isn't she just darling?! I'd love to see the guy who found her found her to be "the one" to have his children.
Horribly unattractive - in every use of the word.

I just returned from a visit to family still living in the Detroit suburbs, and I found Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb Counties extremely homophobic, racist, and xenophobic. Everyone hates the other guy. Why anyone would want to live in that environment is beyond me. Kenneth, I know you hail from Madison Hts., so you can probably attest to this. The situation continues to worsen with each visit I make to the Detroit area.

@Tom W: I can. I think these hard economic times have divided people when in the past they might have united us. Instead of looking out for our neighborhood and trying to help keep them afloat, people have turned to blaming anyone who isn't "like them." It's very disheartening.
