The Wall Street Journal has an interesting cover story(!) about the fate of an abandoned railroad trestle in Athene, Georgia, that was featured on the back of R.E.M.'s groundbreaking debut album, "Murmur." The band and even the photographer don't care if the unsafe wooden edifice is destroyed -- as the county wants to do -- but crazed fans aren't willing to let go. Read all about it HERE. (FYI: Just noticed USA Today wrote the same story in 2010!)
