Sandra and the City

James St. James nails it when he calls this interview from the Howard Stern show a "vaguely fascinating interview with Sandra Bernhard." Sure, Sandy's not the lightning rod she once was. But it is kind of interesting to hear her talk about turning down the role of Miranda on "Sex and the City." (And I think she did it when she was a fake lesbian, too!) A bad script, bad pay ($7,500/week -- chump change compared to what she was making on "Roseanne") and playing "third fiddle to Sarah Jessica Parker" were her objections, but it's her elaboration on SJP that makes this worth listening to at all!

Sandra waived her Miranda rights.
