I can't say the closing of legendary gay bar Julius' by the Department of Health surprises me much, what with all that ass-grabbing near the hamburger grill. (The burgers are good, though!) You may recall, Julius' was the site of the bar scene in the film version of "The Boys in the Band," and is where Michael and I celebrated the passage of marriage equality in New York with friends last year.
