In its Year in Culture issue, New York magazine -- which I have not subscribed to yet have been receiving for the past year along with countless PAST DUE notices (way to inflate your advertising base rate!) -- claims 2011 was the year of the objectified male star. Maybe so, but isn't every year?
My vote goes to Ryan Gosling, People's not-sexiest man of the year:

Chris Evans will always get my vote.
I'm biased towards Michael Fassbender. His incredible acting prowess and his steely blue eyes get my vote anyday (especially when clothes are shed)
