Time for Butch Camp

Kiran Randhawa, the health and social affairs correspondent for the London Evening Standard, does a great job dissecting the Essex County (UK) Council's "Anti-Bullying Work" report, which states there was "anecdotal evidence of students being told to act less gay or to wear their hair differently as teachers felt they were making themselves a target for bullies." (Was this written by jurors in the Lawrence King trial?) The findings are so shockingly homophobic and ignorant that the report reads like the Republican Party platform an Onion Story -- minus any hint of humor. This kind of crap needs to stop if things are ever going to improve. (Image via Fail Blog)

Aw, come on... Give the adults a bit of a break. You should see some of these kids with all their piercings, Gaga clothes, multi-colored hair and skinny jeans! I'm all for anti-bullying but these kids really DO put themselves out there as a target for a good ass-whoopin'. School uniforms should be mandatory.
