Ryan Phillippe Awarded 'Damages'

Ryan Phillippe was spotted on the streets of Manhattan yesterday, shooting scenes for "Damages." I know the Glenn Close show is critically acclaimed, but is Ryan having problems getting film work, or is it really so good that he would want a recurring role on a basic-cable television show that's only available on DirecTV?

It's a well thought of show that I think gets more attention than it deserves due to Glenn Close, however, virtually on one watches - less than 1M per eppie...

Hello! It's not even basic cable anymore. You can only watch it on Direct TV.

It's that good. And he'd be in good company. Previous seasons had cast members including Lily Tomlin, Martin Short, John Goodman, William Hurt. Marcia Gay Harden, Timothy Olyphant, Campbell Scott, Mario Van Peebles, Dylan Baker, Len Cariou, Judd Hirsch, Craig Bierko, Griffin Dunne, James Naughton, Michael Nouri, Keith Carradine, Kier Dullea, and Ted Danson.

DirecTv has an exclusive window, then the season airs of FX, essentially the same as the arrangement for Friday Night lights with NBC. And Elizabeth Olsen will also be in that season.
